Anna Paquin has been an actress across Canada as well as New Zealand for over a decade. The actress was chosen to play Flora McGrath the daughter of a muffled Scottish pianist who in the mid-19th century moves into New Zealand for an arranged wedding when she answered an audition open to all at the age of nine. She was old. She had little previous acting experience. At the age of a teen, her family moved from Canadian to United States. Paquin was Jane Eyre's title character as a teen in Franco Zeffirelli's Jane Eyre (2000) and the main role in Fly Away Home (2000). Paquin played Frankie Addams as a child in the TV adaptation of Carson McCullers novel The Member of the Wedding. Paquin played the queen of Spain, in Steven Spielbergs 1997 feature film Amistad. She played teenagers on Hurlyburly (1998), She's All That (2000) as well as A Walk on the Moon (2000). She played the role of a groupie Polexia Aphrodisa in Almost Famous (2000).
